How to use the external blocker of my Nordic walking poles properly?

What are the differences between Nordic walking and hiking?
Nordic walking is performed with special walking poles on flat or gently sloped ground. These monostrand walking poles help propel your action and work your upper body more intensely. Hiking is done with adjustable walking poles that are used for holding position when climbing, and to avoid slipping when descending.
What are the special features of Nordic walking poles?
Nordic walking is always performed using two walking poles for enhanced propulsion. Thanks to the gauntlets, you can take the walking poles in your hands or let them go without dropping them. Monostrand walking poles are lighter and don't bend when used. They absorb vibrations which spares your joints. The tip of the walking pole grips the ground to propel you forward. The detachable tips guarantee good grip on hard ground.
What are the benefits of Nordic walking?
Nordic walking is good for overall fitness and can be enjoyed by everyone. It helps tone the body, improves breathing, is effective when it comes to weight loss and strengthens bones. As well as all the physical benefits, practising this outdoor sport also contributes to a feeling of well-being. For more information, please visit www.newfeel.com

    Nordic Walking poles

It would be great if you did adjustable poles in 100% carbon. The vibration is reduced alot in carbon poles. Having said that these are nice poles. But the straps are a bit flimsy.

Also it would be useful if these were stocked in store. You might sell more if people could see them.

    Brand response :

    Dear Debs,

Thanks for your feedback. Let me explain the composition of our poles and why. I found your comment really interesting and I would like to complete it. This model is in aluminum, but we have a model (not telescopic) with 80% carbon fiber: PW P900. When we talk about 80% of carbon, it means 80% of the fiber is in carbon and 20% is in the glass fiber. For less rigidity, the composite is made of 50% of fibers (carbon and glass) and 50% resin (to link the fibers between them). So the composition of the stick is:
    80% x 50% = 40% of carbon fibers
    20% x 50% = 10% of glass fibers
    50% of resin (Epoxy)
This is the same for all the brands in the market but none of the other brands explain their real composite (when they say carbon fiber, actually is carbon fiber + resin). So, just to be comparable for the customer, we said 80% of Carbon Fiber like other brands do. If we say 40% of carbon fibers (because the other 50% is resin) we could seem worse than other brands and they are having the same composite than us.

Regarding the straps of your poles, don't forget you have 2 years warranty on this product, so in case something happens with the straps you can exchange the poles. If you want, you can contact me directly.

    Have a nice day.

Best poles on the market fo price and ease of use.

I am a Nordic Walking Instructor and have found that these are ideal for newcomers who are seeking their first poles, and no one has experienced any problems , unlike some of the better known brands.
