How to choose the length of your Nordic walking poles

You should choose your Nordic walking poles according to your height. They must be capable of protecting your articulations.

TESTING THE POLES IN STORE

Hold the poles in your hands: stand up with the pole touching the ground. Your elbow should form a right angle (90°). 

If you are planning to buy the product in store or you would like to make a purchase at decathlon.com, for example, you can use the following formula: multiply your height in centimetres by 0.68, and you will find the pole size that is right for you. If the result of the calculation is between two pole sizes, it is preferable to choose the smaller size. For example, if your are 1.67m tall:167x0.68 = 113.56. In this case, choose a 110 cm pole.

• If you are between 150 and 161 cm tall, choose a pair of 105 cm poles

• If you are between 162 and 169 cm tall, choose a pair of 110 cm poles

• If you are between 170 and 176 cm tall, choose a pair of 115 cm poles

• If you are between 177 and 183 cm tall, choose a pair of 120 cm poles

• If you are between 184 and 191 cm tall, choose a pair of 125 cm poles
