HOW TO DEVELOP GOOD HABITS

Walk tonight...or not? If you find yourself asking the question every time, your walking sessions are not yet a real habit.

Comment prendre une bonne habitude ?

Walk tonight...or not? If you find yourself asking the question every time, your walking sessions are not yet a real habit.Keep your New Year's resolution: forget all your good and bad excuses and make exercise a well-being ritual you can't live without!

GETTING STARTED IS THE HARDEST PART

Like anything that requires effort, getting started is the hardest part. Children all cry when it's time to go back to school. Then magically, after just a couple of days, they can't wait to see their friends. It's the same when you start walking: getting started is the hardest part. It's cold outside, you've had a long day, your walking buddy voted for the duvet...you'll forget all that once you get started!

SET A REALISTIC GOAL

Pressure can be motivation's worst enemy. Balance pressure and motivation by setting yourself realistic goals... You can even start with quite easy goals. When you've had some encouraging results, you will be more ambitious and challenge yourself even more!If it's raining or you have a cold, do a shorter session. You'll do better next time, when you're feeling fit again!

LIST ALL THE BENEFITS

With a pen and paper, or simply in your head, list all the benefits of walking regularly. For example: not only do you see your best friend when you walk on Tuesday nights, but you always sleep like a baby afterwards...and you breathe much more easily. That will encourage you to keep making the effort!

STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE

We are often reluctant to make changes in our life because we are afraid to step outside our comfort zone.So try to create a new good habit and create a new routine that's just as reassuring as the old routine. You'll see! Once you get used to your weekly walking plan, you'll never look back!

There's no doubt about it. You are clearly ready to develop good habits. Because you regularly stop by here for a read!
